What’s been cooking at the Oven Wizards Annual Conference?

Oven Wizards got together last month for their Annual Conference in Warwick.

The Annual Conference together with the Regional Meetings are a great Opportunity for Wizards to get together face to face to build relationships, share best practice and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere. The day included the business meeting in the afternoon and the social event with entertainment in the evening.

Lee Adamson, Oven Wizards Crawley, said – “We had a good time and I personally learned information that would have taken me years to learn otherwise”

Subjects covered on the day included Operations, Sales and Service, with delegates getting fully involved and leading various sessions.

Oven Wizards keep on cleaning!!... as they report continued business growth in 2018.

Oven Wizards are pleased to report continued growth in terms of the business they are delivering.

Business growth is up 16% in the last year, and a whopping 46% over the last two years in terms of the value of ovens being cleaned by Oven Wizards Franchisees. This compares very favourably with the increase of 14% seen in the Franchising sector over a similar period,as reported in the recent Nat.West.Survey,2018.

Pippa Weir, who started an Oven Wizards Territory in South West Sheffield in 2018 said,” I'm getting booked up usually a week or two in advance and I’ve had a great start to 2019”.

Mark Abbott, Managing Director said,”2018 was another great year for Oven Wizards, building on the success of the previous few years. We are continuing to recruit new Franchisees and were pleased that two ladies joined us in 2018, Dele Aboderin in Gloucestershire and Pippa Weir in Sheffield. We are thoroughly enjoying sharing our business ethos with our new franchisees and it is great to see them doing so well in their own territories.”

Oven Wizards’ Fanie van Zyl realises his investment!

Oven Wizards are pleased to report that one of their Franchisees has successfully realised his investment by selling his business.

Fanie van Zyl who owned and operated Oven Wizards Fleet and Farnborough said of his time with Oven Wizards

“I looked on several websites for an oven cleaning business and the first one I saw I went for an interview and demonstration. I was not very impressed with the explanation of the franchise and demonstration they gave me. I then made an appointment with Mark Abbott and John Graham at Oven Wizards and me and my wife went for an informal chat to see what the oven cleaning business was all about. We were very impressed from the start as they explained exactly to me what I could expect from an oven cleaning business. I would recommend if someone is buying a franchise you should make sure you meet the franchisors and get as much information as possible on what the franchise is all about.”

Fanie went on to say, “After the purchase of the Oven Wizards Franchise, I received my training and off I went, support was only a phone call away. My biggest challenge was to get fully booked and get good feedback from my customers. I was cleaning 3 ovens a day on a regular basis, which exceeded my expectations.”

With regards to the sale of his business Fanie said, “I decided to sell the business as we are moving back to Guernsey as my family and grandchildren are living there and we want to spend more time with them. The support from Mark and John from Oven Wizards was from day one very supportive. They helped me find my prospective buyer and they were only a phone call away when I needed any help.”

New Owner Mark Fitch is excited to put his stamp on the business, he says, “I’m looking forward to continuing Fanie’s hard work cleaning ovens in the Fleet and Farnborough Territory. I’m flat out at present, with lots of work, which is great for business and my fitness. A big thanks to Fanie for my initial training, I look forward to meeting other Wizards in the community next year.”

Christmas is coming and our Wizards are very busy!

It is looking like it’s going to be one of the busiest Decembers for Oven Wizards Franchisees. We are really pleased to report that most of our Franchisees are getting booked up for that pre-Christmas oven cleaning rush. Some of our more experienced Wizards had December booked up before the end of November and are now starting to take bookings for January 2019, which is great news.

Paul Joyce, Oven Wizards Leighton Buzzard said, “I wish I had joined Oven Wizards years ago” and Ray White, Oven Wizards Kings Langley said “I am so busy I could be working 7 days a week, if I wanted to”

John Graham, Oven Wizards Managing Director, said, “We have been talking to all our Wizards up and down the Country over the last couple of weeks and most of them are really busy.Jonathan Gains, who invested in our Bury Territory earlier this yea,r is cleaning 3 and 4 ovens per day and working 6 days a week to cope with the demand”

He went on to say “Our website is experiencing a record number of visitors, which provides great support to our Franchisees. We are now getting good National coverage for Oven Wizards, but we still have Territories available for the right sort of people”.
