David Tomlinson owns and operates Oven Wizards Tynedale and Newcastle, this is what he has to say about his experience with Oven Wizards - 

I have completed over 10 years of trading and it has been challenging at times but also very successful and rewarding. I have always been ahead of my plans, and I have cleaned thousands,of ovens, hobs & extractors.

I started my franchise in November 2011 after being made redundant twice in 12 months. Along with my wife, I came to the conclusion that we should look at going self-employed. We looked at various franchises and came across Oven Wizards, I contacted Mark Abbott and John Graham, who jointly own and run Oven Wizards, and the rest, as they say, is history.

After a phone call, a meeting was promptly arranged. We decided to go ahead with one stipulation which was that I wanted to start trading before the end of 2011 to take advantage of the pre-Christmas rush.

Mark and John worked very effectively to get me up & running and by November 21^st, I was trading after a successful launch at a local supermarket.

The two weeks hands-on technical training was very in-depth and gave me great confidence to go out on my own. The business training & development was extremely informative and useful. Mark & John are always on hand, along with any other members of the Wizards’ community, should you need advice and support.

When you become self-employed you are THE BOSS and you need to work hard to be successful. With much leaflet dropping, local advertising and all the other business development techniques I picked up in the training, the work started coming in.  I am now always busy and because of the great service we provide I get lots of referrals from customers’ family and friends.

My experience with customers is to treat them with respect, be courteous, friendly and put them at ease,

Be confident and always, always, always be professional.

Do a good job and always clean up after you’ve finished and believe me the word will spread.

Yes, there is competition out there but if you follow the Oven Wizards’ model, you will see there is plenty of business to be had.

My franchise gives me the flexibility to work 7 days a week or 4-5 days a week and you will soon find the phone never stops ringing.

In terms of great value and support I believe Oven Wizards is THE BEST franchise available on the market.

The Oven Wizards Annual Conference is back!

Oven Wizards got together earlier this Summer for their Annual Conference in Stratford-upon-Avon.It was great to be back meeting face to face. The Conference together with the Regional Meetings are a great Opportunity for Wizards to get together face to face to build relationships, share best practice and enjoy themselves in a relaxed atmosphere.The day included the business meeting and a social event with excellent entertainment.

Oven Wizards deliver another magical year!!

 

Oven Wizards are pleased to report excellent continued growth in terms of their business in 2021

Business is up 25% in the last year in terms of ovens cleaned by Oven Wizards Franchisees, culminating with our busiest December ever!

We also experienced one of the best years in terms of new Wizards joining the community from Dundee in the North to Devon in the South.

Martin Simpson,who started his new Oven Wizards business in South East Devon in March 2021 said, “Mark Abbott and John Graham - the Oven Wizards franchisors,have the perfect balance between friendly guidance, solid support and, most importantly, the same desire for (our) success as we have.
